To give you a taste of what my musical universe sounds like, I’ve put together a handy appetizer menu consisting of a couple of cuts from albums that you can find on Spotify, Apple Music,and YouTube.

I’m an album person. I like the thematic sweep of an album, the sense of laying back and letting the artist take you on a journey. I write songs about whatever I’m going through in my life at the time, my state of mind, what’s going on in my environment and how it’s affecting me. At some point, I’ll look back on the songs I’ve written recently and will inevitably see there’s a theme or consistent vibe running through them that I wasn’t aware of. That’s when I know it’s time to create an album, a kind of musical photo album of my year (or years).
